The Space Between

In the quiet hush that lies between,
Where thoughts linger and pause is seen,
A moment stretched, a breath in flight,
A space where you decide your light.

The world will rush, and noise will call,
But in that space, you stand tall,
Not bound by impulse, not swept away,
You choose your words, you shape your day.

The stimulus may rise, unknown,
But how you react is yours alone.
In the pause, the wisdom grows,
In silent space, your power shows.

Expand that space, let it be wide,
A refuge where your heart can guide,
Where anger's flame may start to fade,
And patience, kindness, are carefully made.

It’s here you craft your response, your way,
With thought and care, you’ll seize the day.
The world will push, but you will find,
The pause is where you free your mind.

So, take the time, don’t rush the choice,
In that stillness, find your voice.
For in the space, you’ll always see,
The power’s yours to simply be.
